High Performance Computing <\/span>from the University of \u00c9vora<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

THE High Performance Computing Center of the University of \u00c9vora <\/a>hosts and manages advanced computing resources, including the OBLIVION Supercomputer, acquired and available for ENGAGE SKA, and the VISION and ORION Clusters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oblivion Supercomputer was acquired by the University of \u00c9vora, as part of its research infrastructure ENGAGE SKA<\/a>, to support the processing of massive volumes of data (in the order of Petabytes, equivalent to millions of Gigabytes), resulting from the various research and innovation activities developed in Portugal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ENGAGE SKA is a consortium of seven Portuguese institutions and is the interface between the national scientific community and the SKA<\/a> \u2013 a global project that, on an unprecedented scale, involves scientists and engineers in preparing for the construction of the world's largest radio telescope, the Square Kilometer Array (SKA).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
