AIvLAB @ VISION
Virtual Artificial Intelligence Laboratory
AIvLAB is the result of a partnership between FCT, the HPC-UÉ center and the BigData@UÉ Laboratory. This virtual AI lab will serve to boost the AI, Data Science and Big Data communities through easy access to the Vision platform, promoting tool experimentation and supporting HPC and AI training. In line with the mission of RNCA and the EuroCC2 project, this initiative simplifies access to Artificial Intelligence technologies.
Vision is a machine from the University of Évora, specially designed for Artificial Intelligence (AI) work, using machine learning algorithms.
Duration: Pilot project until December 31, 2024. Each user will have up to 6 months of access.
Associated resources: Each user will be able to access from 500 to 5000 GPU node.hours. Total allocation is 25,000 GPU node.hours.
AIvLAB objectives and recipients :
- Support inexperienced users and CPCA candidates who want to test AI tools on GPUs.
- Testing AI tools in pilot projects in the industry and public administration sectors
- Supporting AI training within the scope of EuroCC2, as well as welcoming teachers from courses taught at HEIs who request resources to test AI tools and algorithms with GPUs.
To boost and increase the use of AI techniques in national research and innovation communities and to make available resources from the VISION platform installed at the University of Évora.
