THE INCD – National Distributed Computing Infrastructure is a digital infrastructure to support research, approved within the scope of the strategic research infrastructure roadmap of Science and Technology Foundation (FCT).

It provides computing and storage services to the national scientific and academic community, across all fields of knowledge. The infrastructure is specifically designed to provide scientific computing services, supporting researchers and their participation in national and international projects.

INCD's technical team closely monitors users, offering solutions tailored to the needs and specificities of each project.

INCD participates in the European Grid Infrastructure (EGI), in Iberian Computing Infrastructure (IBERGRID), in the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG), in the European Open Science Cloud through the project EOSC-hub and in the EOSC-synergy.

Since December 2024, INCD has become the new National Center for Advanced Computing (CNCA)
